Product description

The 7110 screw is a self-tapping bi-metal screw designed for fixing trapezoidal sheet metal to a steel substructure. Thanks to the combination of a stainless steel screw and a carbon drill tip, it combines high drilling performance with good corrosion resistance. This makes it suitable for outdoor use and for indoor areas with high humidity.

UFO Bi-Metal Self-Tapping Screw A2, DS 25
Drill tip No. 3; flat underside of head
Sealing washer A2
For fixing profiled sheets to a steel substructure

Typical applications

The 7110 screw is used wherever profiled sheets need to be fixed to a steel substructure. Typical applications include:

  • Fastening of trapezoidal sheets to steel sections
  • Use on walls and roofs
  • Outdoor applications and indoor areas with high humidity
  • Projects requiring a corrosion-resistant bi-metal screw

The screw is designed as an A2 self-tapping bi-metal screw with a carbon drill tip and an accompanying A2 sealing washer. It is available in lengths of 25 mm and 38 mm, for steel thicknesses of 1 to 3 mm. It is approved for use on roofs with or without a roof cap.

When should you choose this screw?

The 7110 screw is the right choice for fixing trapezoidal sheets to a steel substructure. For sandwich panels, which require significantly longer screws depending on their thickness, longer panel screws such as the 7565 or 7570 are recommended. The 7550 screw is suitable for fixing flanged profiles. You can find an overview of all screws in the ‘Screws’ category.

Matching products

The 7110 screw is used in conjunction with profiled sheets. Suitable products:

  • Trapezoidal sheets for roofs and walls: Trapezoidal sheet range.
  • Cap screws for use on roofs, where the screw is positioned in the high rib.
  • Further screws for other components, such as panels or edge profiles.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 7110 screw suitable for?

It is designed for fixing trapezoidal sheets to a steel substructure and is approved for use on both walls and roofs. Thanks to its bi-metal construction, it is also suitable for outdoor use and damp indoor environments.

What does ‘bi-metal’ mean in relation to this screw?

Bi-metal means that a corrosion-resistant stainless steel screw is combined with a carbon steel drill tip. This allows the screw to be driven into steel without pre-drilling, whilst still remaining corrosion-resistant.

In what lengths is the screw available?

The 7110 screw is available in lengths of 25 mm and 38 mm, each with a sealing washer. The correct length depends on the sheet metal profile and the substructure. We’d be happy to advise you on this.

Do I need a cap on the roof?

On the roof, the screw is approved for use both with and without a cap. A cap is used when the screw is driven into the high rib to improve the bearing surface. We’d be happy to advise you on the appropriate design.
