Screw 7575

The 7575 screw is a long, self-tapping bi-metal screw designed for fixing sandwich panels to particularly strong steel beams. With its strong No. 5 drill point, it drills through steel from 3 to 10 mm thick and is available in lengths from 80 to 195 mm. This makes it the right choice when mounting panels onto solid steel substructures.

The 7575 screw is used wherever sandwich panels are fixed to solid steel beams. Typical applications include:

• Fixing roof and wall panels to particularly thick steel beams
• Installation of sandwich panels of varying thicknesses
• Use on walls and roofs
• Outdoor applications and indoor areas with high humidity

The screw is designed as an A2 self-tapping bi-metal screw with a hexagonal head (SW 8), a support thread and a No. 5 drill point, with an A2 sealing washer and a thread diameter of 5.5 mm. It is available in lengths of 80, 95, 115, 135, 155, 175 and 195 mm and is approved for steel thicknesses of 3 to 10 mm; the tested drilling capacity extends up to 12.5 mm. It is approved for use on roofs with or without a roof cap.

The 7575 screw is the right choice for fixing sandwich panels to particularly thick steel beams ranging from 3 to 10 mm. For medium-thickness beams, the 7570 screw is suitable for steel up to 5 mm; for thinner beams, the 7571 screw is suitable for 1.5 to 4 mm. If the supporting structure is made of timber, the 7565 screw is recommended. The length depends on the panel thickness: As a guide, the 80 mm screw covers panels from approximately 22 to 42 mm, the 115 mm screw from 49 to 77 mm, and the 175 mm screw from 109 to 137 mm. How does screw 7575 differ from 7570 and 7571?

All three are long panel screws for steel, but differ in the permissible beam thickness. The 7575, with a No. 5 drill tip, is designed for solid beams from 3 to 10 mm; the 7570 for up to 5 mm; and the 7571 for 1.5 to 4 mm.
